Paid job training

Updated: Mar 11, 2020

Applications are open for our next round of paid sales and operations training programs

It doesn't matter if you're about to graduate or are just looking for a career change. If you're interested in pursuing a career in operations or sales, we have two training programs that might be your ticket. Did we mention they're both paid programs?

Operations training

Our Training for Operations Supervisors (TOPS) program teaches trainees about the elevator industry and the operations and project management skills needed to help them be successful at thyssenkrupp Elevator. There will be 10 to 20 candidates per class, depending on your focus area, with two classes each year.

You can focus your interests on either new installation and modernization or service and repair operations.

Andrea Rodriguez is a modernization operations coordinator in Miami and regularly assists TOPS trainees. Through her experience, she noticed the amount of growth trainees experience during the program.

“What enticed me the most about the program was the amount of knowledge the trainees gained from start to finish and at the end they were so knowledgeable. The trainees were learning things I hadn’t even learned in the three years I’d been with the company,” said Andrea.

Sales training

Trainees for the Sales Training for Elevator Professionals (STEP) program get a first-hand experience with our mechanics learning everything about all phases of service, repair, modernization and new installation.

Andrew O'Connell completed the program in 2014 and has since moved up in several roles to his current one as Fort Lauderdale's Branch Manager. In fact, Andrew is one of three current branch managers that went through the program.

“The combination of field and office training I received allowed me to walk into my first role with a real working knowledge of our business,” said Andrew. “Joining thyssenkrupp and the STEP program was the best career decision I’ve ever made."

There are two STEP classes per year. Each class will have about 20-30 candidates.

Both programs have openings all over the country. Check out our career page to apply.
